We were pretty overwhelmed when we were told that we were going to have a baby at 26 Weeks. Carolyn was the first face that we saw in the NICU and we will never forget how reassured I felt in one of the scariest times. Over the course of the next few months she was there to explain every twist and turn. When our child had a good day, she celebrated with us and when we had a set back, she was there to wipe our tears and offer hope and comfort. Through each part of the journey,
she became a trusted beacon of how we would make it through. Years later, when our second NICU baby was born, we had only two questions: Will our child be okay and is Carolyn still here. I will be forever grateful for every encouraging word and tremendous care that my daughter and son received. The entire NICU staff was beyond amazing but Carolyn will always have a special place in our story. Thank you for all you have done for us and countless other families Carolyn!
This is a simply amazing story! Carolyn you rock!
As an RT that worked with Carolyn years later, you just brought tears to my eyes sitting here in the NICU reading this. She is such an amazing person and we miss her here

The nurses in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) provide incredible care and support, and Carolyn's dedication to the health of your family and children is a shining example of nursing's selfless character. It was clear that her presence brought a great deal of solace and reassurance during a time of extreme unpredictability.
